IEPF

The Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) set up under the Companies Act, has main objective of protecting the interest of investors along with a motive of securing their economic and monetary welfare in the open market.

In case any amount(s) which were unclaimed and unpaid for a period of seven years from the dates that they first became due for payments against any Fund or the Company in respect of individual amounts, then the whole respectable amount is transferred to IEPF

Following are some type og amounts witch a person may claim with IEPF:

  • Unpaid dividend accounts of the companies
  • The application moneys received by companies for allotment of any securities and due for refund
  • Matured deposits
  • Matured debentures
  • The interest accrued on the amounts referred above.
  • Interest or other income received out of the investments made from the fund.

  • Loss of share certificate –In case of any loss of physical share certificate, a new certificate can be issued under the claimant's name with our assistance.
  • IEPF Claim –The claimant needs to file an application/form with the IEPF Authority along with the necessary details for claiming any shares or amount transferred to IEPF.
  • Mutual Fund recovery – Amount of mutual funds which are lying unclaimed can be redeemed through IEPF.
  • Matured Insurance recovery – Amount of matured insurance which are lying unclaimed can be redeemed through IEPF.
  • Hereditary Claims/ Providing of Succession certificate – In case of any untimely demise of any ancestor, parent etc., who leaves any investment made during period of lifetime, can be successfully transferred in the name of their heirs.
  • Provident Fund Recovery – Amount of provident fund which are lying unclaimed can be redeemed through IEPF.
  • Unclaimed Dividends – Amount of Unclaimed Dividends which are lying unclaimed can be redeemed through IEPF.
  • Probate of will – when court gives its seal of approval with relevant direction on the validity of the Will and the fact that the assets should be distributed as per the Will, it is known as probate of a will
  • Unclaimed shares / dividend recovery – Amount of Unclaimed shares / dividend recovery which are lying unclaimed can be redeemed through IEPF.
  • Change of address or Signature mismatch –In case of either change of address or signature mismatch while claiming any amount, requisite details needs to be furnished with IEPF authority for claiming the amount.
